Care Ministry print



The Care Ministry was formulated in 2009 to enhance the many areas in the church, which, in one way or another are addressing Care Needs, and to bring these together under the umbrella of the Care Ministry while seeking to broaden and deepen all aspects of care within the Faith Community.  The committee is comprised of members representing some of the organizations within the church.

The Objectives for the Care Ministry was as follows:

General Objective:


  • To serve & Care for the community and each other in the several places and/or situations in which we find ourselves.


Specific Objectives


  • To collaborate & cooperate with all Ministries and organizations within the church to unify the work of the church.

  • To use a variety of methodologies to educate the church members, the wider community and each other on “care” issues.

  • To promote physical, spiritual, emotional, socio-economic and mental wellbeing of church members and the wider community through a variety of activities.

  • To develop partnerships with other NGO’s and public sector agencies to assist in the care of Individuals living in our community who are shut-ins.

Group meetings are held quarterly on the Third Monday of the month or as a need arise.

Group Activities

Food Safety & nutrition, 12 Weeks to Wellness

Weekly visits and pastoral care to persons in the community who for one reason or another could not attend church.

Meetings with health & social services  representatives to highlight the challenges encountered by individuals in our community who seek to access these services and to advocate for appropriate care on their behalf.

Thursday weekly lunches to shut-ins

Annual Xmas Luncheon for Senior Citizens within the community

Educational Sessions on Health & Social Issues.
